Motor City Drum Ensemble - Live @ Boiler Room x Dekmantel Festival 2014

There's little else more divine than Motor City Drum Ensemble in the muggy haze of an Amsterdam Sunday afternoon. He's cut of a rare breed: one of the spare few selectors for whom every draw from the bag is as triumphant as the last. This time was no different: belter after belter after belter, jubilantly flooded through the rotary dials to a crowd with more raised hands than we saw all weekend. Praise you, Herr Plessow.
Tracklist:
1. 00:00 Sonny Jenkins & The New York Potpurri Strings - That Friday Pay (Eagle Flying Day) 2. 04:35 Logg - Dancing Into The Stars 3. 09:50 Andres - Just A Player (Original Mix) 4. 12:10 Bileo - You Can Win 5. 15:30 Peven Everett - Put Your Back Into It 6. 20:40 Kenny Dixon Jr. feat. Young Marco - Live @ Boiler Room x Dekmantel Festival 2014

Amsterdam's Young Marco is no stranger to Boiler Room. For those that know, his eccentric, off-kilter sets are some of the hidden treasures to our deep archives. When curating a Dekmantel stage in his home-town, it was a no-brainer to have him front and centre. As ever, he delivered a mad-cap whirlwind of music you're likely to have never touched upon: rare electro, blissed-out experimental house, forgotten gems and so much more. Get familiar.

Surgeon - Live Performance @ Boiler Room x Dekmantel Festival 2014

Chatroom was ablaze for this one. Behind the furore of #redpolo and the Burzum Bambi tee, it's easy to forget the utter bat-shit chaos of Surgeon's set: an hour of head-wreck driving techno behind a tangle of wires and heavy-duty hardware. Absolutely essential watching.

Richy Ahmed - Live @ Boiler Room Ibiza 2014

At last year's trip to Paradise for the Boiler Room Villa Takeovers, Richy Ahmed put down a serious number. This year was no different: mammoth selections, tons of fun and a sea of smiling faces.
