Harry Romero - Live @ Mixmag Lab NYC 2016

The Lab NYC is Mixmag and Smirnoff Sound Collective's weekly afterwork party where we stream the best American and international DJs from the intimate space connected to our Brooklyn office. This week Mixmag welcomes Harry Romero to the Lab for a special Thursday set. Harry “Choo Choo” Romero is a house hero and both his solo releases and collaborative work on Subliminal with Erick Morillo shot him into the spotlight back in the 90s. Since then, the New Jersey native has been celebrated as a veteran of house music, spinning with a classic yet eclectic flavor. More recently, the producer has flipped back to the forefront with releases on premium labels like OVUM, Suara, Defected and Circus and is now set to play a huge series of shows across the US, Europe and South America this year as well. Romero put out an EP on his Bambossa imprint earlier this month called 'Be Free', and is set to issue a collaboration with Gene Farris on Cajual. Warming up Brooklyn this Thursday will be Deejay Premo, a dedicated house artist from the Tri-state area. With a decade of mixing under his belt, and a nine year residency at Pacha NYC, Preemo has shared the decks with some of the world's most prolific producers.

Adriatique - Live @ Mixmag Lab NYC, Cityfox Takeover 2016

The Lab NYC is Mixmag and Smirnoff Sound Collective's weekly afterwork party where we stream the best American and international DJs from the intimate space connected to our Brooklyn office. This week Mixmag is proud to welcome Adriatique for a special Cityfox takeover this Monday. This past weekend, Adriatique performed alongside Thugfucker, Frank & Tony and more at CItyfox for the highly anticipated summer 2016 debut of The Brooklyn Mirage. The newly renovated space is complete with lounges and outlets, adorned with tropical garden lounges and amped with Cityfox's signature KV2 sound system.

Jasper James - Live @ Mixmag Lab LDN 2016

The Lab LDN is Mixmag and Smirnoff Sound Collective's weekly live stream, powered by Void Acoustics, where we showcase the finest DJs direct from our world famous office party. This week we welcome Hideout Festival into our office and they come with the brilliant Jasper James in tow. The young Glaswegian has shown his skills as a producer with EPs on Optimo Trax and Leftroom, while anyone who’s seen him DJ knows how good he is at kicking off a party. Check out his In Session mix for a taster. His Saturday residency at Brixton club Phonox is one of the hottest tickets in London, drawing packed crowds every week. This summer he debuts at Circo Loco in Ibiza and has gigs lined up alongside the likes of Omar-S, Carl Craig and Armand van Helden, while new releases have been roadtested and primed for release. Hideout stands out among Europe’s vibrant festival market with its stunning location on the Croatian island of Pag and killer line-up featuring the likes of Jackmaster, Skepta, DJ EZ and loads more. Hideout Festival takes place in Croatia from 26th June - 1st July 2016. Santé and Sidney Charles - Live @ Mixmag Lab LA 2016

German outputs Santé and Sidney Charles had their interests in music sparked at a young age in Berlin and Hamburg, respectively. Individually, they've quickly established themselves as rising talents in the house and techno realms. Santé leads his own Avotre umbrella brand which houses a record label and a forthcoming clothing line aside from his own growing catalogue of music which he eventually plans to collect and release as his first debut album. Sidney Charles serves as Avotre's A&R while nurturing his own catalogue and hopes for a label of his own in the future as well. Santé and Sidney Charles join us in The Lab LA ahead of a special b2b performance at the debut of Insomniac's Factory 93, set to take place at a secret location on Saturday May 21 with Hot Since 82 and Doc Martin.
