Detroit Swindle are in fact Amsterdam duo Lars and Maarten, who paired up in 2011 and have cemented their status as acclaimed selectors, top-tier producers, adventurous performers and heads of their own Heist Recordings. Their history as passionate crate diggers certainly shows in their varied, disco-flecked and funk-fueled tunes. Their latest full-length album 'High Life' explores that optimistic, grooving soundscape and also sees them collaborating with the likes of Tom Misch (premiered on Mixmag), Seven Davis Jr. and more.
