Soul Clap - Live @ Mixmag Lab Detroit x Movement Festival 2018
The next destination for our Labs on Location series with Mixmag and WAV was Detroit, home of the esteemed Movement festival, a three-day festival featuring headliners like Nina Kraviz, Claude VonStroke, Loco Dice b2b The Martinez Brothers, Ellen Alien, Mixmag favorites like Soul Clap, Avalon Emerson, Helena Hauff, and undoubtedly, Detroit legends like Carl Craig, Kevin Saunderson, Amp Fiddler, Eddie Fowlkes and more, which took place across Memorial Day weekend (May 26-28).

Sandrino - Live @ Mixmag Lab NYC 2018
The Berlin-based talent Sandrino has been active in clubland for well over a decade, first honing his craft as a DJ with a residency in Düsseldorf before immersing himself in the studio to produce original material. His music has since graced such labels as Rebirth and Mood Music as a solo act, as well as Innervisions, Mule Musiq, Kompakt and Drumpoet Community among others with the Frankey & Sandrino project. He's toured the world over, making regular stops in Ibiza, NYC, Amsterdam, Miami and beyond. When he comes through The Lab NYC he'll show why he's steadily been one of the more sought-after talents around the world.

Joey Beltram - Live @ Mixmag Lab NYC 2018
With a career dating back to the late-1980s, Queens-native Joey Beltram has been a guiding force in dance music for nearly three decades. With his debut release on R&S Records including the now iconic track 'Energy Flash', his career began with a bang. Beltram would later grace many of the biggest labels of the early 90s such as Nu-Groove, Tresor, Warp and Transmat. Today he continues to prove he has magic in the studio with material landing on Harthouse, BUSH, MB Electronic and Drumcode. When not in the studio Beltram's smashing some of the biggest stages in the world, including Tomorrowland, Coachella, Awakenings, Nature One, Bonusz Festival, Awakenings, Rock-it open air, BLOC, A Day at the Park and Full House Festival, among others. Having him perform in a space as intimate as The Lab NYC is undoubtedly special.

Detroit Swindle - Live @ Mixmag Lab LA 2018
Detroit Swindle are in fact Amsterdam duo Lars and Maarten, who paired up in 2011 and have cemented their status as acclaimed selectors, top-tier producers, adventurous performers and heads of their own Heist Recordings. Their history as passionate crate diggers certainly shows in their varied, disco-flecked and funk-fueled tunes. Their latest full-length album 'High Life' explores that optimistic, grooving soundscape and also sees them collaborating with the likes of Tom Misch (premiered on Mixmag), Seven Davis Jr. and more. Detroit Swindle are currently on tour with their fascinating live set up.
