Jerry Folk - Live @ Mixmag Lab LA x Rekorderlig 2017

Oslo native Jerry Folk takes control of the second session in the series on October 27 at yet another idyllic rooftop, this time at the Hotel Erwin in Venice. Wunderkind Jerry Folk is a Norwegian implant in the city of Los Angeles who has gathered a passionate following through his consistent, groove-laden nu-disco sounds. First bursting onto the scene with a cherished rework of 'Suga Suga', his ability to take classics and reform them into fresh and sultry electronic tracks has continuously pushed him forward as a talent on-the-rise. His latest mixtape release called 'Purple Evenings' is a comforting combination of lusty, moody sounds that showcase Folk's velvety sound.

For the very first time we're bringing our Halloween Haunted House theme to Scotland for our Edinburgh debut and our biggest ever UK indoor festival! As well as world-renowned, immersive production, our Halloween Haunted House will open a portal, unleashing a world of spooky spectres, bloodied beasts, ghastly ghouls and the strangest, scariest creatures imagined in the darkest of nightmares. Lose yourself in the wildest Halloween house as interactive performers, stilt-walkers and street theatre keep party-goers on their toes for a fright-night like no other. Surprises will lurk behind every creaking door of our supernatural spectacular, with a bed of beats laid down by some of dance music's most prominent dancefloor aficionados. Taking place at The Royal Highland Centre from Midday to 11pm, our Halloween Haunted House offers a full eleven hours of unmissable adventure as we show Edinburgh how to do Halloween Elrow style.

Joey Anderson - Live @ Mixmag Lab LDN 2017

Since debuting in 2011, Joey Anderson has worked industriously to carve out an extensive discography of emotive, deeply textured sounds. His release schedule has been a relentless stream of quality, including split outings with kindred spirits DJ Qu and Jus-Ed via his own Inimeg Recordings label, a 12” on Levon Vincent’s esteemed Deconstruct Music, and two albums for Dekmantel. Anderson used to also work as a dancer, so he’s well-versed in rhythms that get dancefloors pulsating. His DJ sets are moving journeys through sleek, dusty soundscapes. Catch him at Oval Space alongside Lena Willikens, Dr. Rubinstein and Universe of Tang following his Lab LDN appearance.

Stefano Noferini - Live @ Move On record store, Florence 2017

A master of deep tech-house, Stefano Noferini is known for his epic journeys, smoothly blending understated minimalism with percussive grooves at clubs around the globe. As a producer he's released on Terminal M, 20/20, ViVa Music and Kling Klong, but it's his own label Deeperfect where you'll find the epitome of his sound. The signature punchy kick and hypnotic loops have made it one of the most popular imprints on Beatport with releases from artists like Leonardo Gonnelli, Natch & Dothen and naturally, Stefano himself. This month he launches sub-label dpe, dedicated to new talent and a more minimal sound. Unlike the the historic buildings that surround it, the Move On record store is only a few years old, but in that time has become known as one of the world's most beautiful stores, stocking a full range of iconic vinyl that you can enjoy at one of the listening stations while looking out on the famous Piazza San Giovanni.

Cassy - Live @ Mixmag Lab LDN 2017

Cassy is launching a new collaborative label called Kwench Records on November 3. The first release is Cassy x Demuir and is called 'Please Me'. Check out soundcloud.com/kwenchrecords Selected for residencies at Ibiza’ biggest clubs as well as Berlin’s Panorama Bar, Rex club and Trouw, her versatility marks her out as a vital force in dance music. In a career of many milestones, including releases on Perlon, taking charge of the debut ‘Panorama Bar 01’ mix CD series and crafting the momentous fabric 71, last year Cassy minted a particularly proud achievement with the release of her debut album ‘Donna’ on AUS - an expertly crafted album of impressive detail and personal weight. In 2017 Cassy has relaunched her self-titled imprint with the ‘Cassy 004’ record landing last month, showcasing the more off-kilter side of her artistry.

Latmun - Live @ Red Bull Curates x CRSSD XPRESS Train 2017

Mixmag combined forces with Red Bull for their one-of-a-kind party: Red Bull Curates CRSSD XPRESS, a private three-hour train commute from LA to San Diego bringing a handful of music enthusiasts to this year’s autumn edition of CRSSD Festival. Featuring specially curated drinks, hors d'oeuvres, a jazz band, a colorfully outfitted staff and a full dance floor with music from tech house mavens Latmun and Patrick Topping, this magical train ride was a riveting traveling experience for all in attendance.
