DJ Gina Turner - Live @ Mixmag Lab LA International Women's Day Special 2016

Though originally a New York native, Gina Turner brings her commanding tech-house style into The Lab LA. Rising up from a radio background, Gina naturally gravitated towards a career as both a DJ and producer. She has collaborated with a variety of artists across the board like Diplo, Soulwax and Simian Mobile Disco, and has released on major imprints like Defected and Ministry of Sound. Now she runs Turn It Records, is a globetrotting DJ and a badass yoga aficionado and teacher. Look forward to the best of the underground from Gina.

La Fleur - Live @ Mixmag Lab LDN, International Women's Day Special 2016

La Fleur delivered what could well be the best Watergate compilation (number 16) to date. Her cutting-edge club productions have gained praise and attention from producers like Ian Pooley and Carl Craig as well as the bookers at Watergate and Panorama Bar. In the last couple years she’s won the prestigious P3 Gold award prize for Best Electronic Act, had a track remixed by Kenny Larkin, released on Sasha’s Last Night On Earth imprint and delivered radio mixes for the Pete Tong and Heidi.

The Magician, The Aston Shuffle, Bobby Nourmand - Live @ Potion in Mixmag Lab LA 2016

Stephen Fasano, more commonly known through his mystical alias The Magician, descends upon The Lab with his carefully curated Potion showcase, right here in downtown Los Angeles. In addition, The Magician has risen within his genre as a respected tastemaker with his monthly Magic Tapes series. Australian output The Aston Shuffle is made up of Mikah Freeman and Vance Musgrove, a duo that has been hard at work since first catching the attention as rising talents back in 2006 with a handful of celebrated remixes. 2014 saw The Aston Shuffle reveal 'Photographs', which became a Top 1 album on iTunes. Today, The Aston Shuffle command their 'Friday Night Shuffle' on Triple J. Los Angeles-based Bobby Nourmand joins the Potion takeover with a hometown advantage. Already a noted up-and-comer, Bobby has released a handful of successful originals which have garnered him major attention on Los Angeles' premier radio channel KCRW and Hype Machine as well.

Acid Mondays - Live @ Mixmag Lab LDN 2016

This week we hand control over to Acid Mondays. Their irresistible house and techno infusion has lead to support from the industry's best including Marco Carola, Laurent Garnier, Ben UFO and The Martinez Brothers. Add to that some killer sets at Circo Loco, fabric, Elrow, Warehouse Project and BPM and it's helped establish the Liverpudlian duo as one of the most exciting duos in the game. They've just dropped an EP on Guy Gerber's Rumours, put together remixes for Scuba and Mood II Swing and have forthcoming material on La Vie En Rose, Constant Sound and R&S. Big.

Tin Man - Live @ Mixmag Lab LDN 2016

The Lab LDN is Mixmag and Smirnoff Sound Collective's weekly live stream, powered by Void Acoustics, where we showcase the finest DJs direct from our world famous office party. This week we welcome the inventive sounds of Tin Man. The Cali born but Viena based producer and live act has been responsible for reinvigorating the acid scene with his unique and deep manipulations of real Roland 303s. His subtile and melodic take on acid has recently taken him to some of the words most well respected dance floors including: Concrete, Berghain and Smart Bar whilst his neo-classical and ambient work for The Acid Symphony Orchestra shows he not just restricted to club music. Tin Man’s got plenty in the pipeline this year, his collaboration with John Tejada and Jordan was released this month and he’s also got forthcoming projects with he like of Donato Dozzy, Cassegrain, Gunnar Haslam and AAAA all landing later this year.
